Beautiful weather...really!

Alright, so it's been quite a while since I last posted an entry in this little old blog thingy. So..what's new with Katherine, you ask? Well, for starters I quit my job because it was taking up too much of my good old summer. Alright...so I didn't quit my job...neither of them. So I still work almost every single day. But you know what, I'm okay with that because I still get to spend time with my family and Brian, plus I make loads of money for college. And besides, I only have about 2 1/2 more weeks of work left since I'll be leaving for college soon. Yes, that's right. I leave for college on August 19th. That is about 23 days....wow....I really don't want to leave. I mean, I know that it will be loads of fun and whatnot, but I'm just enjoyed summer too much.

Speaking of college I made contact with my roomate! Her name is Jillian and she is from McMurray, Pennsylvania. She has brown hair and brown eyes and she works at Abercrombie and Fitch and spends her summer lying around her pool with her friends....hm....So she is probably skinny and tan with a nice body because let's face it, you've got to have the figure of a model to work at Abercrombie and Fitch....I mean, really, have you ever been in there? Not that I'm insulting my new roomie or anything. Oh, and get this, she was a cheerleader in high school! Just like me! Except that she also did dance and gymnastics, which means her squad probably tumbled and competed and stuff...and we all know the LHS cheerleaders don't do that cool stuff...sigh...But anyway, yeah, hopefully we get along pretty well...

Oh, and I also got my laptop! It's really nice. It's a silver Dell one...and it looks expensive...which it was...but that's besides the point. It's really nice. Speaking of college stuff...I got a package from Charles Pealer, the guy who gave me the Charles Pealer scholarship. He labeled the package "College survival kit" or something, lol. It included a swiss army knife, and pepper spray, and some matches, and stuff...lol. I thought that was rather odd...makes me scared to go to college...But the package did have m&ms, so that was cool. Plus, it was nice of the guy to do that because he even delievered it to my house personally.

Alright, so nothing too exciting has happened recently. However, I am excited about the first week in August because I'll be going to Put-in-Bay twice! First my girlfriends and I are going for two days. It will be the usual...Amy, Tiffani, Beth, Marissa, and I, minus Ashley. She decided she doesn't want to spend two days with her high school friends whom she may never see again for all she knows. Alright, so I'm sure she'll see us again, but still...you'd think she'd want to go...she wants to stay and work...which I understand because money for college is important...oh well...I'm done with that...Also Lauren, Twila, Marissa, and I are going to P.I.B. for the fourth year in a row! We decided after the first year to make it an anual thing, and it's still going strong. It's going to be so much fun!

Also, I had a very wonderful time last night. I went over to Brian's house and we watched Seabiscuit, which is a pretty good movie. But then it started storming. It was lightning and thundering and raining and it was so beautiful. I just love this rainy stormy weather so much better than the hot humid weather. And I'm sorry for those of you who prefer the sun and heat and whatnot, but I think you're crazy. So due to the beautiful, rainy weather and my wonderful boyfriend I've been having a wonderful summer. Alright, well I think that's about enough of my blogging tonight...until next time, peace out.

Stupid Blog

Well, this was not the original title of this blog entry, but since the stupid blog somehow erased the entry I had dedicated time and patience to writing I am rather ticked off. And now I have to rewrite it all, and you know it won't be as good as the original one was, but oh well...I must make a second attempt to satisfy my readers. Haha.

Alright, so I know I haven't updated in a while. I've been rather busy and whatnot. But here I am, finding time. Yesterday was such a wonderful beautiful day. I know what you're thinking, "Katherine, it rained yesterday." That was the best part! Due to the beautiful rain I didn't have to work at the pool. Therefore, I got the entire day off! I spent the first two hours or so reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on my porch, watching the rain. It was really relaxing. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out tomorrow! I'm so excited! Due to the fact that I still need to re-read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix before book number 6, Marissa is going to read the new one first. But I'm still super excited.

So, since it's been so long since I last posted I need to update on my wonderful trip to Put-in-Bay. I went there with my family for the Fourth of July fireworks. But not only was it just my family, Brian and Sam went too. Brian with me, and Sam with Marissa of course. I was worried about Sam and Brian getting along, but I think they got along better than Marissa and I. Yeah...we argue a lot...but what siblings don't?

Put-in-Bay was a lot of fun. We rode around in a golf cart, went putt putting, ate chocolate, and visited with my family. I saw my cousins, Charlie and Danny. I haven't seen them for a good three years. And even though I'm a few years older, they are of course, much taller. I'm really short...and I look like I'm like 12...Oh well...lol. No, but definitely the best thing about the trip was the chocolate...Oh, I mean spending three days straight with Brian. Heehee. No, really it was wonderful. And now I'm back to seeing him like every other day....sigh.

So when I got back from P.I.B. I basically just worked a lot..again...But I actually got to have a social life too! Friday night the Fine Five reunited once again! That's right, Amy, Ashley, Tiffani, Marissa, and I went camping! Well, not really camping...we just slept in a tent outside at Amy's house, lol. We got a late start, but that didn't stop us from girl talking until wee hours of the morning. And I'm talking good juicy girl talk here. It was fun, lol.

Then Saturday evening I had dinner with Kelly Lew, my old gal pal from cheerleading Junior year. We don't really get to talk much or hang out, so it was nice to catch up. So after a long weekend of working...a lot...Twila, Marissa, and I drove to Steubenville to visit my cousin, Lauren, for her birthday. We met a lot of her college friends and stuff. And since it was her 21st birthday I got to try a Margarita and a Mudslide. Now come on people, I'm not the kind of person who drinks...when I say I tried them it means I had a sip of each. I don't think I cared for the Mudslide much, but the Margarita was pretty good, except for the salt they put around the rim of the glass.

The next day we all went shopping in Pennsylvania. And I didn't know this, but Pennsylvania has no sales tax! Yeah, that's right. I saved a whole bunch of money because I didn't have to pay tax. I must so it was a lot of fun. I got a lot of good deals on clothes. And it was great hanging out with Lauren and Twila. So after returning home I've just been back to working. All this work...and some play...but still I just love summer. It's wonderful. I am excited to start college and meet new people and whatnot, but I'm enjoying my summer so much. But all good things must come to an end...but not for another month...so I'm still enjoying it.

Alright, well if you're still reading this you're crazy! Geesh, this was freaking long. And hey, all you anonymous readers out there, if you feel like it leave a comment. I promise it doesn't hurt. But if you don't want to that's cool too. It's just nice to know I'm not writing this so Brian, Kenny, and I can comment back and forth to each other, lol. Alright, I'm off. Peace out!

Um...yeah?

Okay, so not much has happened since I last posted. Thursday night I made a very last minute decision to go see War of the Worlds with Marissa and a bunch of other people. It was a good movie, but very freaky. It was the kind of movie that made me thankful to be alive, yet fearful that I could die any moment. I couldn't sit still the entire movie and I was just speechless afterward. But it was good, I reccoment you all go see it...All 1 1/2 people who read this blog...Anyway...

Of course, I worked all weekend, as usual. Friday I went shopping with Issa May and I spent a whole bunch of money that I shouldn't have. But hey, I work a lot, and I deserve a good old shopping spree, especially since I'm a girl and I love my shopping.

Saturday I went to the car show. I met up with Sugar Lips and Justin. We looked at the cars. I don't really know cars very well, but there was this really cool looking silver one that looked like a car James Bond would own. At 12:30 I went to my grandma's and watched over her garage sale for a couple hours while she went down to the car show. There was barely any businnes, but it was okay because I got to read a lot of my book. Saturday night after I got off work Brian, Kenny, and I went putt putting. That was fun, even though Kenny ditched us to "try and go catch the bat." And even though I suck horribly at putt putt. But that's okay, it's still fun. Then Brian and I came back to my house and watched Sweet Home Alabama.

Today I worked six hours at the pool, working in the concession stand. That is the most boring job ever. And I hate it so much, but hey, at least it's money. And I like money, especially when I'm heading off to college in a very short time...but I don't want to think about that right now...I'm enjoying the summer. I went up the hill to my Aunt Rita and Uncle Chuck's house to watch fireworks. Except we got there early to eat and talk. It was really fun. We jumped on the trampeline and went digital camera crazy. Then I watched the fireworks, reminiced, and had a good time with my cousins. I love my family so much. It's going to be sad not being able to be here next year for all the family get togethers...but once again...let's not talk about that just yet...

Tomorrow I leave for Put-in-Bay. It's going to be mom, dad, Patrick, Marissa, me, Brian, and Sam. Not that they hate each other or anything...but Brian and Sam aren't really the best of friends...but I think it will be a fun trip. I just want Brian to have a good time. (But Brian, don't have a good time just because I want you to.) lol. Alright, and now it is time for bed. So off I go. Next entry I'll have lots of good Put-in-Bay things to talk about. Talk to you all later. Peace out!
