And I'm feeling good!

Let's see....so much has happened since my last entry. Well, not really, but I'd like to think so. I worked practically the entire weekend. No joke. And it was really rather fun because our bosses were in Michigan so it was Mike Carroll, and my cousins Twila and Sarah Henley closing together the entire weekend. It was fun, lol. And that made the weekend go by rather fast, which was a good thing because Brian went to Pennsylvania for the weekend. Therefore the faster the weekend, the sooner I got to see him again.

So Sunday after work I went to Sam's graduation party. That was cool because I actually got to see some people I haven't seen in who knows how long. (Actually, I know how long. Since school ended.) Then Sunday night I went to Brian's house and watched Star Wars Episode II. Which means, yes! I was finally ready to see Episode III! And it wasn't too late to see it in theaters! And Brian took me to see it Tuesday night! It was so awesome! Completely sad, but still awesome! I am so glad I started watching Star Wars because they are just awesome! Thanks Brian!

So today I thought I was working 4 to close, but as it turns out I was supposed to work 11 to close. Therefore, my mom woke me up this morning at 11. And she's like, "Katherine, don't you work at 11?" And so I jumped out of bed and ran to look at my schedule, and sure enough I was supposed to be at work. So I called down to let them know I'd be in as soon as possible. And I go get ready and ask my mom to throw my shorts in the dryer since they were still damp from the night before. And so she does, that was nice of her...only it was the wrong shorts, lol. So I'm running so late I have to wear my shorts that are still wet to work.

But I go to work, it's the slowest day ever, and we had next to no business. But I was in a surprisingly good mood. Which was nice, because I hate being in a bad mood. So, I came home and watched the last half of The Prince and Me with Julia Stiles...It wasn't too bad of a movie, but it had a horrible ending. Oh well. Then we went over receipts with my dad and it turns out I owe him $260, but I don't seem to care because 1.My savings account is at an alltime high, 2. It was worth the money because I bought some cute summer clothes with some of it, and 3. It turns out I made a mistake with my deposit slip at the bank, and I really have $45 more than I thought I did. So that was cool, and made me happy.

So after that Marissa and I went through this Low Carb menu book that my mom got and she had us mark all the recipes we liked and wanted to try. So we did, lol. And we had chosen all chicken foods, lol. But I suppose that's not that funny...unless you're Marissa and I...So moving on...Then Marissa and I got the urge to make zucchini bread. So, we did. At midnight. While watching Will Ferrell on Jay Leno. That was fun. Then I ate some zucchini muffins and here I am. And I'm actually tired, so I'm out of here.

Sweet dreams and goodnight.

Just another blog

Well, it's been another week since I last updated. Last weekend was rather busy. I worked almost the entire weekend. But it was all good because I still got to hang out with Brian some. Sunday was Father's Day and I had to babysit my bosses' kids all day. They are a handful, but I don't mind babysitting because they are two little girls. Therefore, all we do all day is play the old games and stuff that I used to play with when I was little: Polly Pockets, My Little Ponies, the Cabbage Patch Game, the CareBear game, and all other sorts of things I used to do when I was little. So, it's like a trip down memory lane.

Monday was a fun day indeed. I went golfing for the first time ever! It was only my first time, so of course I was terribly horrible. But it was still fun. I also enjoyed watching Brian golf, and he swings wicked fast. Then I stayed at Brian's, watched the next Star Wars movie, and had dinner with his familiy. Tuesday I work all day at the pool, then came home, had a family dinner for the first time in a really long time, and then went on a family outing to the Dairy for some ice cream, lol. Then we played a family game, 20 Questions. My dad won, as usual. But I didn't come in last, yay!

During the game we heard one of the three kittens we have meowing outside the window. So we opened the window, Patrick reached out and pulled it in. Then Marissa went outside and got the other two. They are the most adorable grey kittens. Mine is the cutest because it's back two paws are white. So, Patrick, Marissa, and I were each holding one, and of course my mom got all sentimental and took a picture. She's really sad these days because she's losing all three of her children at once, instead of just one. Marissa and I are off to Miami, and Patrick is actually going to go to OSU in Columbus and live with my older brother Christian and his girlfriend. That should be interesting, lol.

Yesterday was a good day. I woke up and cleaned the house since my dad's sister, Aunt Jean, from Put-in-Bay came with her daughter, Tracy, and her two sons, Koveh and Nema, who live in California. My little cousins are so adorable. Their father is Iranian, so they have the most beautiful dark skin, dark hair, and gorgeous eyes with long eyelashes. And they are so freaking smart! Koveh is not even 5 yet and he can read really well. He reads Calvin and Hobes comic strips for fun. And not only can he read well, but he actually understands what he is reading. And Nema is just too cute. So Wednesday we all went to Broken Rocks to eat and then we came back here and chatted. It was really nice since I only get to see my cousins once a year if I'm lucky, since they live in California.

I'm beginning to really miss Put-in-Bay. I haven't been there since last summer. Usually we find the time to go up earlier during the summer, but we've all been so busy. I mean, I've been out of school almost a month already and I haven't been to P.I.B. yet. But luckily, our family is going up for the Fourth of July fireworks the first week in July. I can't wait.

Alright, well it's the middle of the day and I have yet another long weekend ahead of nothing but work. Hopefully the weekend goes by very fast so I can see Brian again, since he'll be gone all weekend. Oh well, maybe I should call up some girlfriends and go see a movie or something. I haven't really done much with many of my friends since school ended, and that really sucks. Especially since this is our last summer to hang out before we all go our separate ways. I think I just might cry...Oh well...got to enjoy it while I can.

That's all for now. It's G-ma's birthday so we're going to go up the hill and sing to her. Catch you all later. Peace out!

Ode to Brian and some other stuff...

Let's see...so much has happened since I last posted....and I don't remember much of it, lol. I spent the week after graduation procrastinating, cleaning the house, and working on pictures and all that jazz for our graduation party.

The party went rather well if I do say so myself. It was probably 75% family, if not more, because well, we are the Henley's and practically related to half the town. A few friends from school came, not nearly as many as I invited....I guess they all just forgot or something....I just wish all of them wouldn't have told me they were coming and then not come...that sucked. Oh well though. But I really do appreciate everyone coming who did. It meant a lot to me. After the party people stuck around and we played the DVD Scene It game, awesome game. Then once almost all the family left Sam, Marissa, Brian, and I watched As Good As it Gets. That's a good movie, I like Jack Nicholson.

So Monday night my parents, Marissa, and I drove to Columbus because it's half way to Miami University, and we had freshmen orientation that Tuesday. So we stopped at my brother's house and then went to spend the night at my Aunt Susie and Uncle Dan's house. It was really nice just having girl talk with my aunt. We made popcorn, Brian texted me and made me smile, and then Marissa and I stayed up til 2 watching 13 Going on 30 (Which turned out being not such a good idea).

Tuesday morning we drove the rest of the way to Miami and we had a very long day. I mean, I'm talking like 4 boring speakers, 2 small group talks, and some corny games, lol. But I did have a good time because I just love Miami. Just the atmosphere makes me glad I chose it. So Tuesday night we had the student mixer from 9:30 to 11 where there was a dj and games and stuff. Marissa and I were going to go, but decided to skip out and just take a walk and chat. That was cool. Then I went back to the room and called Brian, and once again he made me smile.

Wednesday was also long considering I had already fallen asleep so many times the day before and it was a long 3 hours of scheduling for our classes. I am fairly happy with my schedule, they seem like interesting and fairly simple classes. I am mad though that my last class Friday ends at 5, which means whenever I come home I'm going to have to skip it so I can get home at a decent hour. After all, it is like a 3 1/2 hour drive and whatnot. So we went to the big Miami store and spent a lot of money. I got some nice Miami wear, yay! Then we drove home and it was really long...but we eventually made it.

Last night I went to Brian's house and we watched the first Star Wars movie. Only 5 more to go! I really liked the movie, even though it was hard to concentrate on anything other than Brian. :) I'd like to take this time to just say how awesome he is, and how much I love spending time with him. And I'm sure Brian is the only one that reads this anyway, lol.

Today I worked from 11:30 to 9:30...that was long..but not bad. I've had worse days at work..much much worse. And now I am home talking to Brian, so it's all good. I'll catch you all later. Peace out.

I knew it

I knew it would get harder to keep this thing updated over the summer. That's probably why it failed horribly when I first started it last summer. Oh well, I will try my best.

Let's see...so I graduated from high school yesterday. That's right, I am an LHS graduate....it's weird...At first people were asking me if I felt any different and I would say no, but now I think I am. I don't know, it just does feel sort of weird, like I accomplished something...like all those years of school finally paid off. And now I can just sit back and enjoy these next two months...yeah...only two months...I leave for college like mid August and that really sucks. It will be sad, especially for my mom. She's cried more than I have recently. Poor mom, losing her two daughters at once. Yeah, but I went to eleven graduation parties yesterday! Yeah, that is a lot, lol. Funny though, eleven parties and I didn't have any graduation cake. Oh well, I had some really good cheesecake at David, Susan, Christy, Laya, Jasmine, and Jimmy's party.

Well, I won't make this long. Summer has been cool so far. I'm finally starting to enjoy it because I actually have summer clothes to wear so I won't be so freaking hot. And even though I still don't have a tan, and probably won't ever this summer because I'm too lazy to lay out (or maybe too smart to waste time when I could be doing something more productive). But either way, I am white....that's just the way it is. I'm also finally starting to enjoy summer because I have someone to do stuff with all the time...well...when neither of us are working or when he's not playing golf, lol. So that will be cool.

Alrighty, well I have to wake up early tomorrow and work for 2 hours for the senior auction. That will be fun...not. Then I will spend the first half of my day going through pictures to use for my graduation party June 12th from 1-5 at my house. Come and stop by, lol. Yeah, anyone who comes to the party will be in shock. My dad has been working non-stop on the house and my mom has been cleaning like crazy. Well, you'll just have to come to the party to see for yourself.

Alright, catch you all later. Sweet dreams and goodnight.

Just your average update

Hello all you very few people that read this. Oh well, doesn't really matter how many people read these things, it's just good to talk. And I'm sure the important people read anyway. As you know Monday was Memorial Day. I went to my grandma's house for a family get together, because us Henleys will take any excuse to see each other. Here's something shocking, I actually played wiffle ball. We used to play all the time as kids in my grandparent's field, but I stopped when I realized I really sucked at any and all sports...except cheerleading, for those of you who consider cheering a sport, and for those of you who don't, what do you know! lol. So wiffle ball wasn't so bad, I didn't catch anything, that would be a miracle. My first two times at bat were okay, I didn't strike out so that was cool. And my third time, well, that was normal Katherine, really bad. Oh well, I had fun.

After wiffle ball a few of my cousins came down to the house and we played the DVD Scene It movie game. We did girls against guys and girls won two games in a row, of course, lol. Then Monday night Tiff, Amy, Beth, and I went to Mansfield to see Fever Pitch. It was an okay movie, Jimmy Fallon is hilarious. Alright so Tuesday morning at 4:30 I woke up from 5 hours of sleep and drove to Grant's house where we were meeing to fill water balloons, but when I got there they were all filled and everyone was asleep, lol. So Aaron, Dustin, Brian, and I went to Aaron's house and watched the end of The Last Samurai and part of Starsky and Hutch, then it was time to go to my house to get ready. So, about 15 of us seniors waited at my house until the cops cleared the high school then we went over and threw water balloons at students. It was fun, lol. I got some people, some unintentionally, some I was aiming for, lol. I got you, Sugar lips! haha.

So after that Brian drove me back to Grant's house so I could get my car, and stupid me, I had forgotten my keys back at my house, so he was nice enough to drive me all the way back home and then back to Grant's a second time. That was nice of him, sorry, Brian, lol. Then I went home and took a shower and Brian came back to pick me up and we went to his house and hung out. We watched The Collateral, really awesome movie, and Matchstick Men. I have a new appreciation for Tom Cruise and Nicholas Cage, actually. So then we listened to some music and then I came home. I had a really good time, very relaxing day.

Then when I got home Marissa and I watched Charade with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant. I know what you're thinking, all Katherine does is watch movies...but I just finished my senior year of high school, doing a total of 18 scholarships! Give me a break, lol. So then Tuesday night I went to my grandma's house for an all girls get together. It was all the grand daughters, grandma, and then my Aunt Mona (Britt's mom) came. We played Peanuts, which I came in second (never happens to me before, usually I lose...badly) and then we played this really cool game where someone asks a question, everyone answers, and then they try and guess who said what. It was fun. My favorite part of the entire night...

Marissa: What are you craving right now?
Katherine: So we try and guess what you're craving?
Marissa: No, you write what you're craving.
Grandma: Oh, alright then I need to change my answer.
Marissa: What did you write down?
Grandma: Well, I thought we were answering for Marissa, so I put Sam Koppert.

lol, that made us all laugh for about 5 minutes straight. I love my grandma, she's so hilarious. One time we mentioned that someone was italian, and she said she wouldn't want to meet him because he probably smelled like garlic, lol. Not that my grandma is prejudice, she's just...well, grandma. So after the game we start making funnel cakes at like 10:30 at night and then we start Mrs. Doubtfire, lol. I didn't get to finish it, I was tired so I came home...and then stayed up late talking on aol, lol. But I don't care, I would much rather have a good conversation than get sleep, and a good conversation it was, lol.

So today I woke up early to go to school, lol. Not high school, McMullen. I went to visit my mom's a.m. kindergarten class because I promised I would go back and see them, and I missed them. They are the cutest ever. First semester I would go there every day, so I hadn't seen them for a while. It was fun day since it was the last day of school, so we hollihooped and played with chalk, and bubbles, it was fun, lol. Then I ran some errands, came home and basically fell asleep on the couch. Then I went to rehearse for the senior song for Senior night, and then I came home and fell asleep on the couch again, lol.

So now, here I am, supposed to be working on my speech for senior night and I'm writing in my blog...I'm so horrible. But I do need to at least start it before I go to Matt's bonfire tonight, so I'm off...Peace out.
