Hey, what's up all you readers out there! I am in an awesome mood! Why you ask? Because not only did I have a wonderful weekend last week, but I am also closer to another awesome weekend! Last weekend, Marissa and I drove to Columbus to have a family weekend and so that Marissa could go to a Rolling Stones concert! I was going to go, but Scott wanted to go much more than I did and was also more willing to spend the $180 for the ticket.
Although I didn't go to the concert I got to spend time with my mom, dad, brothers, and Kate, my brother's girlfriend. I went and saw Wedding Crashers with my parents and Patrick. I wasn't sure if my mom would like it because it's not really her type of humor...if you've seen the movie you know what I mean...But surprisingly she loved it, and my dad did too (I knew he would...) And not only did I get to spend time with my family, but I also got to talk to Scott, which was cool because I haven't really talked to him since I graduated. He seems to be really enjoying college, so that's cool.
Time is going by so freaking fast now! Which is really good news! I now have only eight more days until I'm home again for the Loudonville fair! A weekend of nights with the Henleys and days at the fair with hopefully all my high school friends and fellow 2005 graduates that I never get to talk to anymore. Plus, I'm so totally excited about the fair food! I will try to eat light here at college before the weekend so I can totally eat as much fair food as I want! Alright...so maybe that won't happen...I would get sick. But I am proud to announce that I have not gained the freshmen fifteen! In fact, I lost a few pounds! Go figure!
Oh! Guess what! My Uncle Buzz and Aunt Karen are expecting another child in April, so I'll have another cousin, the 31st Henley grandchild! Plus, my cousin Brandon Lape and his wife, Lisa, are also expecting in May, so I'll have a...second cousin? I don't know, but it's good news! Yay!
School is going the same as usual...I had my first exam last Friday. It was for my Theatre Appreciation class and it was freaking easy. I got a 48 out of 50...I should have gotten 50, but oh well...I also have three tests coming up the week after the fair...that totally sucks...Not only are they my three hardest classes, but I'm so not going to have time to study during the fair weekend...or should I say I so won't make time to study...Oh well...I'm sure I'll manage fine...or fail...either way I'm going to have a great time at the fair! Heehee.
In other news, the weather is finally getting chilly. It's about darn time! I was so sick of that stupid hot humid weather. I'm ready for the leaves to turn pretty oranges, yellows, and reds, and then fall, making Miami look very very beautiful. Come on autumn!
Alright...I suppose I should go do some homework, although I really don't want to...Peace out!

I'm a loser...
Well, it's been quite a while since I last posted. It's a shame that's how I always start my posts that way...Oh well, here's a little entertainment for those people who read my blog and don't comment, but that's alright...I do it too...
I went home last weekend!!! It was so great to be back among the familiar faces and whatnot. So we went straight home and my mom held me in a two minute hug, and made me cry...I guess I didn't realize how much I missed her until I actually saw her again...yeah, I'm a baby, so what? Then Marissa and I went to the football game where we saw almost the entire class of 2005...I suppose a lot of them come home every weekened....Oh well, if I could I probably would. But I saw everyone! And it was so great! Plus I got to see Will play football! And he was awesome! It was weird seeing him in the football uniform, but hey, doesn't look so bad. (wink wink)
After the game Kenny, Danny, Will, Brandon, Ashley, and Tiffani came over to our house to hang out. We watched Hitch, a cute hilarious movie. So that was fun. Saturday morning Marissa and I went to the soccer game, which they won. So that was cool. After that, mom, Marissa, and I went grocery shopping and spent a lot of the afternoon making dinner! We made meatloaf and potatoes and pudding! All while watching Sleepless in Seatle! That's a good movie. Then grandma and grandpa came down for dinner and I ate too much, but it was good. I didn't realize how much I missed actual food, lol.
Saturday night we went to the movies with the usual group to see The 40 year old virgin. It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, and not nearly as funny as Wedding Crashers. But it was nice to go out with my friends before coming back to Miami. Sunday I went to church and sang in the choir with my mom and then went home and basically slept for 2 1/2 hours...Then we went to grandma and grandpa's house for August and September birthdays. I played Peanuts and actually won! Go figure, I never win! And then we played Beyond Balderdash, and Kristen and I came in second.
Then the best part! A few of us cousins went outside to play Man Hunt! We used to play all the time when I was little, but I was always scared of the dark and had to hide with someone and whatnot. But it was so much fun! Then once most of the little kids left we played Bloody Wolf until it was just Brittany, Brad(her boyfriend), Josh, Marissa, and I. And Brad was all hyper and wanted to keep playing again and again...Odd kid....likes to hide in trees...And Josh told us stories about his encounters with gays...And that was interesting...
Monday we headed back "home" to Miami. Chad, Marissa, and I saw like 5 police cars, and he said he saw 11 on the way to Columbus. Crazy...So I've been back here for a week now...And I already can't wait to go back home for the Loudonville fair! You know, I just really don't think I'm a college kind of girl...Sigh...Oh well, that's life...This weekend was interesting...Friday night I didn't feel like going out so I stayed in and watched Grosse Point Blank, and I started to read my favorite Nicholas Sparks book, and I wrote in my journal, and I was bored out of my mind! I ended up staying up til 3:15 or so...at least that's the last time I looked at the clock...I suppose I was just subconsciously staying up...waiting for something, I don't know. I'm a loser.
Then Saturday Marissa and I were going to go to the football game, but Marissa wasn't feeling well, so we both stayed at the dorms. And we just chilled all day, so that was nice. Marissa said, "Let's watch Pirates of the Caribbean, unless you don't want to." And I said, "Not want to watch Pirates of the Caribbean? Now that's a silly thing to say." So we watched Pirates of the Caribbean, and both ended up falling asleep. Then I woke up, did some laundry and wasted some time on aol. And then I decided to go out! Which is odd...because it was already like 9:45...but alas, I went out. Got all dressed up...and met Twila at her friend's apartment. And then after spending a little time there, she was going to another party and then dancing. I wanted to go dancing, but not to another party, so I came home.
Then I stayed up late again, for really no apparent reason...and I couldn't get myself up for church this morning. So I'll have to go to the evening mass tonight. And I have a lot of homework to do now, so off I go. Wish me luck! Peace up, A town down!

College and whatnot...
Well, I'm afriad it's been rather long since my last post, and I'm sorry to all you blog readers out there! Especially those of you who always read, but never comment. I hate to take away your entertainment.
I have now been in college for about two weeks...yeah...I'm a college girl...Miami University in Oxford. It is alright here, I don't want to say anything to upset those other Miami students who go here...wait, they don't really read this do they...Okay, so they might...so I won't say anything. No, even if they didn't read this I wouldn't say anything...that would be mean....
I'll just say that although I do not mind being in college, I much prefer high school in little old Loudonville. Back where I knew everyone and they knew me (Or at least knew I was one of those Lunt twins...). When Marissa and I are together here, we get a lot of "Are you twins?" or "Are you sisters?" And then of course, "Dude! Twins!" from the guys that pass by....What is the male fixation on twins really about anyway? I mean, really? I suppose I do like the triplets in the cell phone commercials...but it's not because they're triplets. It's because they're hot! So I suppose these guys just think Marissa and I are hot. :) Heehee.
My classes are alright. I am taking a British Literature class where we read a bunch of old poetry that I don't really understand unless explained to...but I think I may be catching on...I'm also taking a really easy English class that is basically just spending half the time talking about the question of the day (stuff like, where are you from?) and the other half writing. Sweet class. Then I'm taking a Classsical Mythology class where it's basically just the professor talking the entire period, and me frantically taking notes...but it's cool. Once we actually start talking about the myths and not the history and culture of Greece I'll be good. Another class is my theatre appreciation class, which is just awesome. The professor is hilarious, not in a sense that he makes a lot of jokes, but not really in a sense that he's so stupid it's funny. If you get that...probably not. And last but not least there is this Education class, which is basically a humanities class about Socicultural Studies...What a bore...The professor spent about 10 minutes explaining that we couldn't watch a video because someone didn't return it to the library. Okay, maybe it wasn't ten minutes...maybe more like 15...seriously! lol.
My roomate is cool, her name is Jillian. We have a lot in common. We were both cheerleaders in high school, both listen to the same kind of music. It's awesome, I'll be playing something like Journey (though my music isn't cooperating right now...) and she will know the song. And then she'll play country and that is cool because I like country, Yeah, I'll say it. Diss all you want, lol.
Also we were both dating guys for about three months that we graduated with...
Which brings me to the next topic of discussion....I am now single...Yeah, Brian and I are no longer dating...I really won't go into much detail on here so everyone can see...But if you're curious as to what happened exactly, I won't mind you asking. So, yeah...I am single...enough said....
I am very excited to announce that I am coming home this weekend! That's right, for those of you who miss me (And don't act like you don't. Heehee), you will be able to see me this weekend! I will be at the football game tonight to see my buddy, Will, play. Yes, I'm actually going to watch a football game....In Junior High I only went to hang out with my friends and flirt with my crush, and in High School I was cheering. And I admit that I might have really only watched the game to see whether we were offense or defense (which I didn't know the difference until maybe the end of my freshman year...before then I would just ask another cheerleader, "Are we offense or defense?") Pathetic...I know...Also this weekend I will be spending a lot of time with family and hopefully friends! If you want to do something, give me a call! I will be home until maybe mid Monday.
Well, I think that's just about all I have to post on right now. Oh, no, one more thing. Two weeks in college, and I have not yet gained the freshmen 15. I was starting to get out of control the first week...popcorn..., however, it is all good now. So hopefully, I can control myself...
That's all for now, folks! Peace out!

Green Beans, Scented Tampons, and Lucinda the claustrophobic 16 year old
Well, it's been a good week and a half before I've last updated. And either people don't read this anymore, or it's just been too boring to even comment, but here I am, attempting again. Last Sunday I had such a wonderful day. I had the day off of work, my first Sunday off in who knows how long, meaning I got to go to 10:00 mass for once instead of 8:00. I got to sing in the choir with my mom, for the last time before I leave for college. So that was very nice. Then to make the day extra wonderful, I went to breakfast (to Broken Rocks, of course) with my mom and Aunt Susie. We had some nice conversations about college and boys and just all sorts of interesting stuff.
After breakfast we dropped my aunt off at my grandma's, where she greets us with, "Perfect timing! It's green bean picking time!" So after changing out of our church clothes, I helped pick green beans, which I don't mind doing at all because I love my grandma and it's good bonding time with the family. Then I helped break apart the beans while my grandma and mom went back down to my house to watch about 5 of my uncles take down one of our huge 75 foot trees in our backyard that was tilting towards the house. So after we finished with the green beans I went back down to my house where the Henley uncles were cleaning up, and I had a nice conversation with my cousins Rachel and Will. After watching Sandlot my mom, dad, Marissa, and I went to eat at East of Chicago and then we came home and my mom, Marissa, and I watched the first half of Camelot, my mom's favorite musical that we haven't seen since like 1st grade, that we hate. The things I do for my mommy...lol.
After that much needed, relaxing, family day, I left for Put-in-Bay Monday morning with Amy, Tiffani, Beth, and Marissa. Ashley was supposed to go too, but she bailed on us....nice...Anyway, the drive up was nice and long...yes long...it took us approx. 3 1/2 hours to get there, considering we were driving in the wrong direction for a while (which made me feel absolutely stupid considering I've been to P.I.B. about a million times and should have noticed that nothing looked familiar). We also had to stop at a gas station when the tail light on our van feel off and was hanging on by a wire, lol. The duck tape we put on so long ago when my dad smashed the light by running into our stone wall had finally come off. And since the gas station didn't have duct tape we had to pile on the electric tape, lol. It was rather humorous.
When we finally got to P.I.B. we had a nice relaxing time at the cabin, where we read Amy's Cosmo magazine fully of weird interviews with guys about sex and other misc. stuff. There were some rather humorous and disturbing things in that magazine, and I can only say that I've never laughed so hard while reading all the odd stuff....An especially funny occurance while reading the magazine made us all laugh so hard...there was one of those pages where you peel off the paper and smell the sample of perfume....and Amy peeled a piece off the top and smelled it. So we said, "How's it smell?" And Amy replies, "It's alright." Then Marissa peeled off the bottom and there was the tampon ad, lol. Apparently it was the smell of the new scented tampons, lol. So the whole rest of the trip we got to joke about Amy smelling tampons, lol. It was hilarious.
The rest of the trip was very nice. We had a good amount of girl talk, of course. And also our fair share of chocolate at the wonderful new chocolate shop. We also played some putt putt. I putted a 54, which isn't too bad for me, and called some guy named Paul whose number was written on the stand, claiming to be Lucinda (Tiff's middle name). He wasn't there, so I left a message, lol. We also did some shopping, where we each bought one of those hats that asians wear...the sort of pointed ones...They are awesome. We wore them around P.I.B. and got many compliments from people driving or walking by. My favorite was from some drunk chick (And it was only like 4:00 p.m.) whose breath smelled so bad that Tiffani said if she came any closer she'd push her away, lol.
Next we went up in Perry's Monument. We wanted to wear our hats up, but the guy said it was too windy, so we had to leave them behind. :( And since the monument was 16 and under free, we sort of lied and said that we were all 16. So we got in for free, and rode up in the elevator with this really annoying guy who thought everything he said was funny, and his family...Then on our way back down the monument we were going to get in the same elevator as the guy again, but Amy didn't want to, so we told the elevator guy we would just wait for the next one, and he gave us a werid questioning look. So me, thinking quickly, said, "I'm claustrophobic." And then he just nodded and said, "Oh, alright." So the next elevator we just rode down by ourselves, lol.
Once we got back to Loudonville we went to the pool where we saw some band people and got some more compliments on our hats, then we went to the movies to see Wedding Crashers, where we still wore our awesome hats. We met some guy who knew Eric Nickles and met these two other guys who asked to sit with us since their friends left them...It was an awesome movie!!!! I laughed so hard I thought I was going to burst, lol. The next day I went to the pool with Amy and Tiffani, and went swimming for the third time this summer...I got a very little tan. Yay! At least I can notice it...even if others can't, lol. Then I went shopping with Beth to get some stuff for Brian for his birthday. Then I got home from Mansfield, met up with Amy, Tiffani, Marissa, and Theresa, and drove to Mansfield again to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which was also a rather good movie.
The next day I went to Brian's house where I spent the entire day with him since it was his birthday. I got him some misc. stuff, including the Pink Floyd Animals c.d, which I couldn't give him the day of his birthday since it didn't come until after I left for his house. Then he went out and bought the c.d. the very next day, lol. Oh well...nothing I can do about it now...We watched The Last Action Hero, Romancing the Stone, and The Rock throughout the day. It was very nice spending the entire day with Brian and I hope he had a wonderful birthday.
The next day I went to Berlin with my mom, dad, and Marissa. Berlin, Ohio, silly, I didn't go to any foreign countries. So we spent about 3 hours looking around the Antique Mall, where we spent lots of money because my parents are antique freaks, in a good way. Then we went to eat at this really bad place that we rated about a 4 out of 10. Then we went to this cool shop that had fudge and it was a little store. So even though I barely ever wear rings, I bought this really pretty one that I'm actually going to wear.
So basically since then I've just been working, all weekend, as usual. And now I'm sitting here blogging. But really, I should be getting to bed since I have to wake up early in the morning to go to P.I.B. with Lauren, Twila, and Marissa for the annual trip. This will be the fourth year. Yay! Alright, well I'm finally done. I bet you thought that would never end. Heehee. Alright, I'll update later. Peace out!

Peace out!

Beautiful weather...really!
Alright, so it's been quite a while since I last posted an entry in this little old blog thingy. So..what's new with Katherine, you ask? Well, for starters I quit my job because it was taking up too much of my good old summer. Alright...so I didn't quit my job...neither of them. So I still work almost every single day. But you know what, I'm okay with that because I still get to spend time with my family and Brian, plus I make loads of money for college. And besides, I only have about 2 1/2 more weeks of work left since I'll be leaving for college soon. Yes, that's right. I leave for college on August 19th. That is about 23 days....wow....I really don't want to leave. I mean, I know that it will be loads of fun and whatnot, but I'm just enjoyed summer too much.
Speaking of college I made contact with my roomate! Her name is Jillian and she is from McMurray, Pennsylvania. She has brown hair and brown eyes and she works at Abercrombie and Fitch and spends her summer lying around her pool with her friends....hm....So she is probably skinny and tan with a nice body because let's face it, you've got to have the figure of a model to work at Abercrombie and Fitch....I mean, really, have you ever been in there? Not that I'm insulting my new roomie or anything. Oh, and get this, she was a cheerleader in high school! Just like me! Except that she also did dance and gymnastics, which means her squad probably tumbled and competed and stuff...and we all know the LHS cheerleaders don't do that cool stuff...sigh...But anyway, yeah, hopefully we get along pretty well...
Oh, and I also got my laptop! It's really nice. It's a silver Dell one...and it looks expensive...which it was...but that's besides the point. It's really nice. Speaking of college stuff...I got a package from Charles Pealer, the guy who gave me the Charles Pealer scholarship. He labeled the package "College survival kit" or something, lol. It included a swiss army knife, and pepper spray, and some matches, and stuff...lol. I thought that was rather odd...makes me scared to go to college...But the package did have m&ms, so that was cool. Plus, it was nice of the guy to do that because he even delievered it to my house personally.
Alright, so nothing too exciting has happened recently. However, I am excited about the first week in August because I'll be going to Put-in-Bay twice! First my girlfriends and I are going for two days. It will be the usual...Amy, Tiffani, Beth, Marissa, and I, minus Ashley. She decided she doesn't want to spend two days with her high school friends whom she may never see again for all she knows. Alright, so I'm sure she'll see us again, but still...you'd think she'd want to go...she wants to stay and work...which I understand because money for college is important...oh well...I'm done with that...Also Lauren, Twila, Marissa, and I are going to P.I.B. for the fourth year in a row! We decided after the first year to make it an anual thing, and it's still going strong. It's going to be so much fun!
Also, I had a very wonderful time last night. I went over to Brian's house and we watched Seabiscuit, which is a pretty good movie. But then it started storming. It was lightning and thundering and raining and it was so beautiful. I just love this rainy stormy weather so much better than the hot humid weather. And I'm sorry for those of you who prefer the sun and heat and whatnot, but I think you're crazy. So due to the beautiful, rainy weather and my wonderful boyfriend I've been having a wonderful summer. Alright, well I think that's about enough of my blogging tonight...until next time, peace out.
